[Incidents: The original game, scheduled for 19-02-1970, was postponed for the next day due to rainy weather in Athens. Although 24 hours later it was still raining in the Greek capital and the outdoor court at the Panathenian Stadium was completely swamped, the referees and the FIBA Commissar (Stefanović) decided to give the green light to the game, contrary to FIBA regulations in this kind of matches… especially when, the day before, the aforementioned officials had established that, should the rain continue, the game would be played in Sporting Club’s indoor hall. After a very negative refereeing in the first half, Juventud had almost lost their +19 points difference from the first leg. To add insult to injury, when the rain stopped at halftime, AEK’s staff spread sawdust only on the side of the court where the local team would be attacking in the second half.]
