VENUE: Reichssportfeld Tennisplatz 4 (Berlin) DATE: 14-08-1936 (18:00 h) ATTENDANCE: 870 REFEREE: Thomas Suvoong (CHN) FOULED OUT (FOUR FOULS): xxx [Incidents: The game was delayed 25 minutes over the official tip-off time (the actual starting time was 18:25 h) because the outdoor tennis court where the final was played was completely soaked by the rain. Although some efforts were made to remove the excess water, the constant rain falling over Berlin soon turned the clay court into a quagmire, and for this reason the players could not dribble or bounce the ball, resulting in a minimum score.] |
